Glass reactors are essential tools in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for conducting various reactions and experiments. However, over time, the glass reactor can accumulate residue, impurities, and contaminants from the reactions, which can affect the performance and results of subsequent experiments. Cleaning the glass reactor is crucial to ensure its proper functioning and accuracy of the results.

Here we are gonna talk about the steps of cleaning glass reactor:

First step: Physical Cleaning

 1. Preliminary Cleaning: First, physically remove any residues from the reactor, paying special attention to removing sticky substances. Use special tools to slowly remove them.

 2. Softening of Dirt: Spray warm water or distilled water onto the inner wall of the reactor to soften the dirt, making it easier to clean later.

Second step: Chemical Cleaning (Depending on the Type of Dirt) If physical cleaning is not effective, a chemical cleaning method can be used. However, it should be noted that chemical cleaning methods are relatively complex to operate and the composition of the equipment dirt should be clearly identified to avoid using detergents that react with the equipment.

1.Choose Detergent: Select the appropriate detergent based on the composition of the stain, such as neutral cleaners or detergents with similar principles. Avoid using a brush with laundry detergent or detergent powder to scrub, as this is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but also may damage the equipment.

2.Prepare Solution: Mix the detergent with water to prepare a solution.

 3. Brush the Reactor: Brush the inner wall of the reactor evenly with a soft brush.  Avoid using hard objects such as iron wire to scrub, as this may scratch the glass surface.

4.Soak and Heat: For stubborn stains, soak the reactor in a solution containing an appropriate amount of  detergent and heat it for a while. Then drain the dirty water and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.

Third step: Rinse and dry thoroughly

1.Rinse: Use a large amount of clean or distilled water to thoroughly flush the reactor, using a spray or hose, until the reactor is completely free of foam and detergent residue.

2.Drying: Use air flow or dryer to dry the reactor, and can also be placed in the warm cabinet to dry naturally.

Fourth step: maintenance and maintenance

1.Handle gently: In the process of use, pay attention to handle gently to avoid collision and fall.

2.Regular inspection and cleaning: regularly check whether the interfaces are consistent, whether the sealing ring is clean, and apply a little vacuum grease to keep smooth.

3.Correct operation: Follow the correct operation procedure to avoid over-tightening the interface or using excessive force.\

One thing more, install a spray ball, would improve the cleaning efficiency a lot ,it can 360° rotating automatically,no bind spot.

In short, cleaning the glass reactor needs to consider the composition of the dirt, the material of the equipment and the safety and effectiveness of the cleaning method. Through reasonable physical and chemical cleaning methods and regular maintenance and maintenance, the cleanliness and service life of the glass reactor can be ensured.
